An afternoon at the Zoo

I was drawing at the Zoo 2 days ago.

There was a cage with some leopards in it.

I began to draw one of them while...

Few minutes later, while I was drawing some kind of strange animals, a man came around - an ostrich feather on his cap (???), saw my leopard sketch and said with a powerful voice full of confidence :

Either my drawing was pretty bad, or the leopard was a tiger in disguise...

It was the World Music Day yesterday.

The atmosphere in Paris this night was awesome. The city was overcrowded, very lively, almost unrecognizable.

On my way back home in the subway, there was a man (drunk for sure) on the other side of the platform.

He was singing with his acoustic guitar a song about Rock 'n' Roll. It was just magical. The atmosphere was quite melancholic this time, fitting my mood perfectly. He was really singing with his soul, that's the way I felt. At the end of the song, he started to say wonderful things about music, the way it can only bring love and cannot harm. Then he stood up and said we could throw him some coins above the gap between the platforms, that he could try to catch them. It was pretty funny... Then he became to insult us as no one was sending him money.

I abruptly came back to reality and short after the train was coming...

I will definitely miss Paris.

I attended a master class by Glen Keane in Paris tonight!

The organisation wasn't really good (not his fault though). There were like 800 people waiting outside for just 60 seats...

I was lucky enough to enter the room but there were some people in front of me. It was hard to see clearly. M. Keane gave me a pat on my shoulder before he left as I was smiling like never before. The masterclass was so short but really interesting. He showed us some exclusive extracts of Tangled, artworks and so on, and drew the Beast while explaining the influences. He also spoke about his other works and showed some other things.

I can't wait to see Tangled next week and attend his expo in Paris!!

I definitely want to be an animator.

I just have to do it.

Mesdames et Messieurs, mais vous aussi les enfants (ouais, enfin poussez pas non plus...) je déclare ouvert mon premier (vrai) blog (qui sera à l'abandon dans environ deux semaines).

Non, je vais essayer de m'y tenir. Ca m'enrouragera peut-être à dessiner plus.

Car oui j'ai pas précisé mais ce blog servira d'entrepôt virtuel pour un certain nombre de mes dessins (heureux... et beaucoup moins heureux) afin que les curieux ou les gens échoués au hasard de l'internet puissent les consulter. Je n'ai aucune prétention si ce n'est de pas trop foirer mon année de prépa et d'être pris quelque part l'année prochaine. J'espère aussi que mon travail, vous fera passer le temps, vous divertira et soyons fou, vous inspirera peut-être...
